My friend hates life so much that she believes any story about the end of the world coming tomorrow just so she can dream of her life ending faster without haveing to take it herself. So she told me that one of the pepes that are running for pressedent is the anti Christ and the hole thing was rigde so he will win and someting to do with the chip coming out in the U.S. this comming year of 09 and she thinks it is Obomah. hahhahaaa, yeah emkay shure, what ever she wants to beleive. Well I have heard that Japan pritty much knew who there new pressedent was going to be but they had five people running for the news paper to haveing something to talk about And so I think that she heard someone talking about that and thought or they thought that the US was the country and not Japan. then the anti christ thing is allways going on about some thing or someone. so yeah

I watched something of the sort on the History Chaneel, and it sounds very convining but like the 2k thing the world didn't end like everyone thought it would, so we'll see. I won't believe it til it happens. It had a name like Apocolypse or something like that been awhile since I seen it.

Oh goodness! Sounds like this girl needs to stop surfing the web. I know people like that. A guy sat in my office today and told me he was preparing for the upcoming economic collapse by storing food all through his house. Our economy's definitely in trouble, but I'm not sure it's gonna get that scarce.

I've heard that kind of thing before, and people are always saying that! Sure, it might happen one day, but not when everyone is prepared! it'll happen when we least expect! However, I dont think it'll be anytime soon.

I heard the End of the World is scheduled for Dec 12 2012 according to the Mayan Calender but the Mayan Calender doesn't even end with that date I think it goes all the way up to the year 4779 or something (can't remember exact date)

the mesa calender, my friend thinks that is true too, who ever is president fourth year will be up on that year.

Oh please, there is not a set date for the end of the world, that's the most ridiculous pile of crap I ever heard! If you believe in the Bible, then you'll know that Judgment Day is unknown, therefore it wouldn't be set on a specific date. And even if you don't, well, just think about how ridiculous that sounds!

Here's a mind-blowing little observation. We can all disagree vastly over religion, politics, philosophy, and all that. But it seems if we all believe in one universal thing, and we don't question it one single bit, we all think the world will end someday. We also tend to assume that the end will be a quick one. One big boom and everything cinders and ashes, just like in the movies. Who's to say the world will just ever-so-slowly fall apart, like the world where a lot of Stephen King's Dark Tower books takes place.

you'll believe it when it happens? you won't be around, there is nothing we can do so if it ends it doesn't matter lol. all this stuff about the world ending is garbage! we don't know, lol

Actually, I think that is happening every day! The way things are going around us, it seems as if the world is sort of falling apart each day! Also my grandma has this belief that when you die, your world ends, and I guess that is sort of true. So the world ends for each in his own way, but as far as the end of the world, i believe both the quick ending and the slow one can be possible in their own times. Right now, things are slowly falling apart, with the way people act and the way darkness seems to be coming earlier and earlier. But everyone has their own beliefs!

To the first poster. Maybe your friend should stop thinking about the end of the world, and assess why she wants to take her own life. I recently attended a funeral of a 13-year-old boy who was shot in the head by his own father. Life can turn on a dime, and while some circumstances are unforseeable, others are not. Perhaps your friend would benefit from some type of counseling. If you're living your best life now, it shouldn't matter when the world will end. Suicide is never the answer to anyone's problems, and would create more problems than it would solve.
